Before the appearance of the Covid 19 virus in Serbia, the Free Zone Pirot ad intensified hygiene measures both in the business premises of the Free Zone Pirot and whole area of the Zone. In the first week of the onset of the Covid 19 virus in Serbia, measures of employee definition and protection were enhanced through:
- Employees were given disinfectants - sprays and gels, masks and gloves for use during work.
Also, the Chief Executive Director's decisions provide precise guidelines and recommendations for employee behavior to prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus, in accordance with the recommendations of the competent authorities.
After proclamation the Decision on declaring a state of emergency (Official Gazette of RS No. 29/2020), the Free Zone Pirot actively follow all decisions and recommendations of the competent state bodies for acting in conditions of a declared state of emergency.
In several places in the area of Free Zone (at the entrance and exit gate of the Free Zone, the entrance to the business premises of the Free Zone Pirot, the entrance to the toilets, all facilities used by users of the Free Zone), posters with graphic and visual instructions indicating safe handling were placed in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19 virus.
Footwear disinfectants were installed at all entrances to the Free Zone premises.
It is only possible to gain access to the truck drivers of the Free Zone circle after the security service has received and put on protective masks and gloves, which must be worn during movement in the area of Free Zone Pirot. These prevention measures have been undertaken in active cooperation with the largest beneficiary of the Free Zone Pirot, Tigar Tires doo.
All other production users of the Free Zone Pirot, in the territory of Pirot, Babusnica and Dimitrovgrad, received instructions for preventive measures for the prevention and stopping the spread of Covid 19 virus, with daily communication on the measures taken.
In accordance with the Decree on Organizing Employers during Emergency Situations (Official Gazette of RS No. 31/2020), the Employer of the Free Zone Pirot has enabled employees to perform work outside the employer's premises at workplaces where such work can be organized, and an official travel ban was introduced. The information received from the users is that the measure of work from home is also applied to them, to the extent that can cover the nature of the work and the organization of work.
